Hey there!
The MusicBuilder Blog has returned with another tip for you:
Want to know a fast, easy and convenient way to convert your music to MP3 format for FREE?!
Check out
Media-Convert.Com.
You can convert video files, music files, and even switch your Word Documents to PDF in a couple short minutes. The MusicBuilder staff has been using this trick for a while and figured we should share it with the rest of the family!
Let us know if it's as helpful to you or if you know any better sites that do the same thing!
If folks already have their material on a CD and have access to a computer with Windows Media Player version 10, they can simply rip the material to mp3 format right from there by opening the player and clicking / selecting the following options:
Tools --> Options --> Select the Rip Music tab --> Select mp3 in the Format dropdown --> choose the Audio Quality level desired --> Click Apply --> Click OK
When a disc is inserted WMP should launch. They can click the rip tab and start the conversion process by clicking the Rip Music option. The files will go the directory specified in the 'Rip music to this location' option -- I'm making an assumption that people know how to navigate to folders on their machines.
If a windows media player older than version 10 , it can be downloaded here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/10/default.aspx
As for creating PDFs, there's a free application suite that is similar to MS Office which can be downloaded. The product contains a feature which will convert any document / slide show you create to PDF. The product is called Open Office and it lets you do more or less the same things available in MS Word, Excel, Power Point. It also features an image creater / editor and database application. No charges, fees, licenses, or strings attached.
