I can't begin to recount the wonderful memories I have of you. I've been listening to your amazing drumming since EchoFace brother. Its all I can do to not claw this keyboard to its destruction. What am I going to do without you in my life? Who's gonna be my movie buddy? Who's gonna lecture me for not buying a…

My advice 1st and foremost is to take the necessary time to form a band. If you want to be Whitney Houston, see if you can get discovered at an open mic (yea right) or go on Star Search or Showtime at th…

There was a time when you had to do take after take to get that one perfect or best possible take. And that would be your finished product. Over time recording companies began to "splice". But there wasn't a whole lot of this. It'd be big sections of songs that got spliced together. Eventually, technology progressed to the point where splicing was not good enough. Artistry began to decline and only people like Ray Charles were delivering on the first or second take. Producers were splicing verse…

LISTEN UP ALL YOU RADIOLAND R&B BIRDS!!! Ashanti, Amerie, Beyonce, Mariah Carey...you all had better start singing like GROWN ASS WOMEN!!! I wish I could lock you all up in a room for 6 months and make you listen to nothing but Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Etta James, and Ruth Brown.
Wouldn't you expect to hear the influence of an artist's so-called influences in their music? And do you think if you asked any one of the above mentioned women if they were influenced by, say...Aretha Frank…
