I actually did my first "road gig" at the age of 7 (seven). I went to Kentucky with a gospel group called "The Cumberland River Singers" (they were a quartet group). As you look at the photos, you will see near the end that I played with a lot of "blues cats" early on. There was a large blues scene in Detroit years ago and, I was one of the top drummers available, so I always got the gig and session.
