Hi George. I read in the forums that you were interested in networking. Check out my site and I think you'll find it very helpful for not only networking but also to learn the business and expand your current one.
Let's go with the pop format; this should make it easier for us to generate an end result. I have some lyrics sketched out for the first verse and melody for same, but these are still a work in progress (meaning I'm not 100% happy with them at this point in time).
As for edits, can you tweak the following?
* Remove 00:00 - 00:17 from the intro
* Make 00:17 - 00:32 the actual intro, leading right into the main section
* Segment/splice 00:32 - 1:05 so that this becomes our 'Verse instrument foundation' (I'd like to have this segment copied and pasted in place for the remaining verses, if this can be arranged)
* Segment 8:11 - 8:44 so it can be pasted in place for some sort of break or guitar solo (arrangement will be properly fleshed out as we move forward and the song starts taking shape)
* Create 2 new song segments, one for the chorus and another to possibly use as a bridge or build-up to the chorus.
OR
* I can come up with a rough demo providing the chord changes for each and let you use that as a guide to flesh out these additional parts.
Basically, I'm anticipating one or both of these segments coming in at 1:05, after Verse 1.
We'll roll with whatever you'd prefer or we can try both approaches if you have no preference.
Thanks for entertaining these suggestions. Please let me know if you need any of the above clarified or wish to discuss the proposed changes further.
Regards,
BF
P.S. Out of curiosity, can we also create a second version of the song which removes the melody line in 00:32 - 1:05? I like what you're playing, but am thinking I can use your notes as part of the vocal melody and also have room to embellish it.
Hey George! It's good to see you on the site. I see that you're looking for production opportunities and I know of an independent label currently accepting submissions. The timeline is short but if you're interested, drop me and email at projectson@musicbuilder.org and I'll send you the details. Sound good?
HEY THANKS FOR THE ADD DON'T HESITATE TO STOP BY AND CHECK OUT MY MUSIC MUCH LOVE AND SUPPORT IS NEEDED...THANKS AGAIN ,UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN MUCH PEACE AND LOVE!
I listened to the file. You set a nice foundation and I have a few ideas, but first let me throw a couple questions at you.
1. How would you like to craft the piece? We can make it a pop/rock track using verse, chorus, lyrics and the like, shape it into a progressive rock opus, or take what you have exactly and throw some guitar on top of it. Each way is okay with me, just wondering if you have a preference.
2. Do you have any background in music theory? For instance if asked, could you a) name the notes that make up an Am chord, Gbm7, etc. b) know what the IV and ii chords are in the key of C? This isn't an aptitude quiz or anything (LOL), just trying to get a sense of how to best communicate with you musically.

I'll need to stop and think how to best move forward with the track. I'll be back in touch after some more analysis.
